Tena ano koutou e te whanau.
For myself it was great meeting the diffrent whanau members from each of my fathers brothers and sisters. Very sad that our auntie had passed on as she was one of the main links in having our very first reunion.
Really injoyed the waiata session and seeing the talent that everyone shared. The kai and the manakitanga from the home people of Korou, brother John's talents as our main speaker. And what about the kai moana from the cuzzies, too much those cuzzies.
Having my father and mother there with us was a awesome buzz and of course my brothers sisters and all the nephews and nieces. The beach swim was the bomb and one great highlight of the kids trip. Having my Korean friends there was also cool as they got to see what Maori people are like in our own enviroment. They talked about it for days after and probably will never forget the experience.
Also it was alot of hard work, communicating, organizing, hui, hui, hui but hey !! we completed what we set out to do anyway. I take my hat off to all that contributed. Maybe some time down the track there maybe another and if anyone is willing to take up the challenge, our whanau here in Tamaki Makaurau will be beside you. Heio ano ra e te whanau, koina taku nei korero e pa ana ki ta matou nei hui tahi i wera wa. No reira ma te Atua e manakii i nga wa katoa, noho ora mai, mauri ora, whanaunga Dan......................
